The terms “RCC”, “we”, “us” and “our” used on the Site and in these terms and conditions (“Termsand Conditions”) include Royal Canin Canada Company and its affiliates, subsidiaries, successors and assigns. RCC provides users with access to information, suggestions, videos, photos and related content (“Site Content”). We do not charge you for the use of the Site Content.
2. Your Obligations to Seek Professional Advice
This Site may from time to time contain information, in blog form or otherwise, relating to various medical, health and fitness conditions of pets and their treatment. This is for informational purposes only and is not meant to be a substitute for the advice provided by your own veterinarian or other medical professional.
You should not use the information contained on the Site or in any newsletters or communication sent to you from RCC (a “Newsletter”) for diagnosing a pet’s health or fitness problem or disease. You should always consult your own veterinarian and medical advisors.
While RCC uses reasonable efforts to include accurate and up-to-date information in the Site and in the Newsletters, RCC makes no warranties or representations as to its accuracy. RCC assumes no liability or responsibility for any errors or omissions in the content of the Site or in any Newsletter, or for any resulting loss or damage of any kind.
- (a) comply with any legal process;
- (b) enforce these Terms and Conditions;
- (c) respond to your enquiries; and/or
- (d) protect the rights, property or personal safety of RCC and the public.
4. Permission to Send Electronic Messages
You may subscribe to receive newsletters and other electronic messages from us containing, news and updates. By subscribing, you consent to RCC and its affiliates sending you commercial electronic messages. 5. Modifications to the Site and Technical Requirements
RCC reserves the right, at any time and from time to time, to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Site (or any part thereof) with or without notice. You agree that RCC shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of the Site.
You understand that the technical processing and transmission of the Site may involve transmissions over various networks and changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices.
You agree that RCC may, in RCC’s sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, immediately terminate your access to the Site. Such termination may include:
- (a) removal of access to all offerings within the Site;
- (b) discontinuation of any RCC newsletters or emails delivered to you;
- (c) barring any further use of the Site.
RCC shall not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your access to the Site. Our proprietary rights, disclaimer of warranties, indemnities, limitations of liability and miscellaneous provisions shall survive any termination of your access to the Site.
7. Our Copyright, Trademark and Other Intellectual Property Rights
You should assume that everything you see or read on the Site is copyrighted unless otherwise noted and may not be used except as provided in these Terms and Conditions or in the text on the Site without the written permission of RCC. RCC neither warrants nor represents that your use of materials displayed on the Site will not infringe rights of third parties not owned by or affiliated with RCC.
Any images (images of people, pets, products, or places) and graphics displayed on the Site are either the property of, or used with permission by, RCC. The use of these images by you, or anyone else authorized by you, is prohibited unless specifically permitted by these Terms and Conditions or specific permission is provided elsewhere on the Site. Any unauthorized use of the images may violate copyright laws, trademark laws, the laws of privacy and publicity and communications regulations and statutes.
You may copy and use material displayed on the Site for non-commercial, personal purposes only, provided you also retain all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials. You may not, however, distribute, modify, transmit, reuse, repost or use the content of the Site for public or commercial purposes, including the text, images, audio and video without RCC’s written permission.
The trademarks, logos and service marks (collectively the “Trademarks”) displayed on the Site are registered and unregistered Trademarks of RCC and others. Nothing contained on the Site should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, any license or right to use any Trademarks displayed on the Site without the written permission of the applicable Trademark owner. Your misuse of the Trademarks displayed on the Site, or any other content on the Site, except as provided in these Terms and Conditions, is strictly prohibited. You are advised that RCC may aggressively enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent of the law.
You understand that the Site and software embodied within the Site may include security components that permit digital materials to be protected, and that use of these materials is subject to policies set by RCC and/or content providers who provide Site Content to the Site. You may not attempt to override or circumvent any of the usage rules embedded into the Site. Any unauthorized reproduction, publication, further distribution or public exhibition of the materials provided on the Site, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited.
8. Your Contributed Content
Any communication or material you transmit to or through the Site by electronic mail or otherwise, including any data, images, questions, comments, suggestions, or the like (collectively, the “User Content”) is, and will be treated as, non-confidential.
You acknowledge and agree that you will be solely responsible for any User Content you submit or post to the Site. You warrant that the User Content is true and accurate, not false or misleading, and does not infringe any third party’s trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret or other proprietary rights. You further agree that you will not submit any User Content which:

You grant to RCC and its affiliates, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to publish, display, perform, communicate to the public by telecommunication, exhibit, transmit, disclose, reproduce, translate, modify, adapt and edit the User Content, in whole or in part, for advertising, publicity/promotional, or product development purposes, in any medium or format. You waive your moral rights in the User Content.
RCC engages in original research and development. In order to avoid misunderstandings or disputes regarding ownership of our products, ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques, we do not wish to receive any confidential or proprietary information from you. If you send us information, you agree that RCC is free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in any communication you send to the Site for any purpose whatsoever including, but not limited to, developing, manufacturing and marketing products using such information.
RCC provides certain links to other websites or resources as a service to visitors to the Site. Because we have no control over such sites and resources, we are not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and do not endorse and are not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. RCC shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.

RCC also assumes no responsibility, and shall not be liable for, any damages to, or viruses that may infect, your computer equipment or other property on account of your access to, use of, or browsing in the Site, subscribing to any Newsletter, or your downloading of any materials, data, text, images, video or audio from the Site or any Newsletters.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold RCC and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, employees, partners and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees and disbursements, made by any third party, due to or arising out of:
- (a) your use of the Site;
- (b) your violation of any rights of any third party; and/or
- (c) your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and RCC and govern your use of the Site and any Newsletters, superseding any prior agreements between you and RCC with respect to the Site. These Terms and Conditions and the relationship between you and RCC shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You and RCC agree to submit to the personal and non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the Province of Ontario, Canada.
